Many modern companies today favour large, open-plan offices as a way of signalling openness. The advantages of this are that information can be passed quickly between employees and the social network within the company thrives without employees having to leave their desks.

The disadvantages of open-plan offices can be noise-related problems and limited opportunity to speak confidentially. Triplan A/S has therefore observed an increasing need for defined meeting areas, where meetings can be held without the risk of being disturbed, without having to compromise on the open feel of the office.

The current trend on the Scandinavian market is for minimalist, floor-to-ceiling glass partition walls, with the option of built-in, simple pivot-hinged glass doors, glass sliding doors or solid doors in an elegant steel frame which offer a higher level of soundproofing.

TP Lite single glazed

Triplan A/S' elegant TP Lite glass partition walls are supplied with panes of 8 to 12 mm safety glass and meet sound requirements up to Rw 38 dB. The panes are fitted into a simple rail system and held in place by black soundproofing tape which can be applied without the use of specialist tools.

Large, plain glass surfaces allow customers to customise their walls with decorations, i.e. coloured or patterned film, sandblasted glass or silkscreen printed glass.

The rail system and fittings for the pivot-hung doors and sliding doors come in two attractive grey metallic colours as standard, but can easily be powder-coated in other colours. Solid doors or glass doors can also be fitted in Triplan’s own steel frames.

TP Lite double glazed

In situations where a higher level of soundproofing is required, Triplan A/S also offers a brand new, double glazed system which has the same visual effect as the single glazed system.

The system differs from other systems in that the panes are assembled using tape. With this new product Triplan A/S has met architectural requirements for a system without steel sections which also satisfies increasing demands for noise reduction. This system meets sound requirements up to Rw 45 dB.

The vertical panes are assembled using a tape which hermetically seals the construction and the joins are almost invisible. The system is based around Triplan’s existing products, so that tolerances can be absorbed in a traditional top and base plate and the horizontal bars provide stable support for the large glass surfaces, at exactly the same level, whereby the structural tolerances often experienced are balanced out.

The wall partition system has also been designed to allow the fitting of different door frames and doors from the Triplan A/S product range.

The panes come with finished edges and the tape joins are slightly recessed, not flush with the external level.
